Delivering the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree: “This is my lottery win!”
Brum Stephens has been working in the trucking industry for over 20 years. He joined Wilbanks Trucking in 2013 after they acquired the business that Brum founded in 2000.
Brum was one of three professional truck drivers from Wilbanks Trucking that embarked on a cross-country delivery from Carson National Forest in his home state of New Mexico to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., to deliver the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree to the West Lawn of the capitol building in 2019.
In a video published by Wilbanks, Brum described the opportunity to haul the tree as a special one, because not many people have had this opportunity. Brum said, “Less people have hauled a Christmas tree to the Capitol than have won the lottery. This is my lottery win!”
During an interview on Fox News, Brum discussed his exciting journey to deliver “The People’s Tree.” When speaking about the opportunity that Wilbanks was provided when they were selected to deliver the 2019 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, Brum said, “It’s awesome for us to be part of this.”
