Aman Cox

Working in Trucking, “It’s like a family.”

Professional Truck Driver
Martin Transportation Systems (MTS)

  • WHAT LED YOU TO PURSUE A CAREER IN TRUCKING?

I’ve been a professional truck driver since 2008, driving for Martin Transportation Systems (MTS) for almost four years now. Prior to joining trucking, I worked in the food industry and landscaping industries. I joined the trucking industry after my friend, who is also a truck driver, recommended that I look into a career in trucking. I’m thankful that trucking was there.

  • WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT TRUCKING?

I could not be happier with my career choice. As a professional truck driver, I am thankful for the freedom of the road. It’s great to be able to go up and down the highways, see the trees, and be one with nature.

  • HOW IMPORTANT IS SAFETY TO YOU?

I take my job seriously. Every driver on the road is a mom, dad, son, and daughter. I don’t want them not going home because of some mistake that I made. From my pre-trip on my trailers, to me paying attention to everyone around me on the road, to adjusting my driving for the weather conditions.
