Trucking Moves America Forward (TMAF) Announces a Year of Progress at MATS 2015
When Trucking Moves America Forward (TMAF) was officially launched last year at the Mid-America Trucking Show, it was considered an unprecedented effort for the industry to come together under one movement to improve the image of the trucking industry.
This year in Louisville, TMAF announced that it has made great strides and achieved much success in one short year in its goals to spread the positive messages of the industry and to secure support.
During a press conference on Wednesday, March 25, TMAF announced its fundraising efforts to date and acknowledge the companies and individuals who have graciously contributed to keep the movement progressing. Read more about how TMAF reached its goals.
TMAF leaders outlined goals for 2015, including a market research initiative, an advocacy campaign, targeted advertising and subscriber and membership engagement.
On Friday, March 27 at 11:15 a.m. in B-104 in the South Wing Lobby, there was an interactive educational session held to educate attendees about TMAF and the importance of getting involved. Leaders from the executive committee and professional truck drivers demonstrated in detail the need for the movement to explain personal stories, thereby strengthening the industry and to improving its image.
During the days of the conference, TMAF was also on display at the ATA booth.
One important note, as it celebrates one year, TMAF would like to acknowledge the contributions of Mr. Mike Pennington. Without him, TMAF would not have been able to secure the support of founding members such as ACT 1. The industry is forever grateful to Mike for his endless effort to share his love and respect for trucking with the general public.
