TXTA Pledges $10,000 a year to Support TMAF’s Mission to Promote the Positive Image of Trucking

Washington, D.C. – September 8, 2021 – Trucking Moves America Forward (TMAF), the industry wide education and image movement, announced today the continued financial support of the Texas Trucking Association Foundation (TXTA), one of the largest trucking associations in the country. TXTA has pledged $10,000 each year over the next three years to support TMAF’s mission of promoting the economic contributions of the trucking industry.

Elisabeth Barna, TMAF Executive Committee Member, Executive Vice President of Industry Affairs and Senior Advisor to the President and CEO, American Trucking Associations (ATA) said, “The Texas Trucking Association has been a steadfast ally of TMAF since our industry movement’s inception seven years ago. We are grateful for their generous donation and their continued partnership with TMAF to educate the motoring public on the important role that the industry has in the country’s economy. With the support of donors like TXTA, we are able to broaden our reach and continue to shift the public’s perception of trucking in the right direction.”

TXTA has partnered with TMAF on many educational activities over the years to help demonstrate the good works of trucking and the stories of the dedicated drivers and workforce that support the industry. Some of those activities include showcasing professional drivers from Texas through the placement of billboards on Texas roads and highways each year since 2016. In partnership with TXTA, TMAF tells the story of several industry professionals in Texas through the “Women of Trucking” series that shines a light on the various career paths for women in the industry. Additionally, TXTA’s charitable contributions are a key part of TMAF’s public relations and marketing efforts.

In December 2014, the Texas Trucking Association Foundation and TMAF announced that TXTA committed a $50,000 financial contribution to support TMAF’s growth over five years. The TXTA has provided support each subsequent year. The donation followed TMAF’s official launch at the Mid-America Trucking Show in March 2014.
