Transport Topics: Image Movement Nears First-Year Donation Goal
Industry officials said they are more than 80% of the way to raising $1 million during the first year of their “Trucking Moves America Forward” image campaign.
John Conkin of GE Capital and Kevin Burch of Jet Express made the announcement at the conclusion of American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition on Oct. 7.
The campaign launched in late March at the Mid-America Trucking Show, and since then about $850,000 has been raised, they said.
“We’ve made great strides,” Burch said. “This campaign is re-energizing the industry and reminding us how we take pride in what we do.”
The initial goal was to raise $1 million per year for each of the next five years.
